Team TRAVERSE is here to spread the good news that event transportation can be very…manageable. Our blog will discuss all things transportation in the events world as well as showcasing the people behind the wheel. Topics that we will cover in our blog include the following:
Ground Transportation Is Essential
An absolute in the event world: talent needs to be transferred from hotel or airport to stage.
While that seems rather simple the process can be rather complicated. How many people are in the group? How far is the hotel/airport to stage? Will there be instruments being transported? What time do they need to be on site? What is the proper route on site to stage? Will it rain? These are just a few questions when it comes to just ONE transfer. We will expand on such topics in upcoming blog posts.
Our team has well over 30 years of event transportation management experience, and we have seen it all. We have dealt with the last minute details, extreme airport delays, and getting talent to the stage on time. TRAVERSE is the brainchild of Director of Client Relations, Kristina Lorson Little. For years she knew there was a way to streamline transportation through emerging technology, and she was right. Our software takes the guesswork out and keeps everyone in the loop of when talent will arrive on site or leave. Our developers are passionate about creating a top quality product that streamlines the transportation process.
No spreadsheets or sticky notes were harmed in the process – just not used!
Demanding hours and last minute changes beautifully illustrate the transportation world. When you work with the right team, the craziness seems to melt away or maybe is just more accepted. Some teams have worked together for one year while others have worked together for over 10 years. On top of that, there are some drivers who have driven for the same festival for over 20 years! We will be discussing the importance of teams as well as feature certain team members.
The State of Our Industry
We take pride in being in touch with trends and changes in the events industry. Some logistics are the same and some are different. We believe being connected both digitally and in person is important, and we will discussing any trends we think are important.
